Are there moments in your life that you keep living with stress in your veins?
Is there programming in your head that gets you to return to a place of being unnerved?
Is it the same situations that this has happened your entire life?
What if you could rewrite that?
What if you could rewire that?
When we were young, we are exposed to situations that forever change us.
These moments taught us things - like how to act, react, understand and process information - and these moments left marks on us that stay forever there.
Some good, some bad.
These teachings forever stay in our bones - telling us to behave a certain way in situations similar to ones had to when we were young.
In order to be protected.
In order to stay safe.
And it will move on in this way for our entire lives - unless we do something about it.
The things that protected us when we were younger do not translate very well into adulthood.
Temper tantrums, silent moments, retreating, feeling anxious..
They all kept us safe, and helped us cope - then.
And now its time to let those things go.
And this is the hard part. Because it’s how we have lived for so long.
They are a part of us.
They are the first words snapped back to someone who threatens us
They are the anger that rises within us when we have a trigger triggered.
They are the emotion we feel when someone doesn’t call back or check in.
They are the emotional responses we have in many situations - ones where we feel powerless to the outside world (because we also feel that way in our inside world).
But let me ask you this : would you rather live based on a story you’ve been told your entire life, or based on who your truly are and how you truly want to show up?
The answer to this above ^ and the desire to be or not to be better for yourself, is where you find the line.
The line that is drawn between those who seek healing, and those who stay still.
Evidently those who seek healing emerge into their life with more connection, more purpose, more integrity.
They seek their deepest desires and they stop at nothing until they arrive to a place of peace and harmony.
Look at Buddha.
Buddha stopped at nothing to reach enlightenment (and luckily for us, Buddha came back to help those needing to heal with their lessons).
Everyone can attain a level of peace.
It takes work, but the peacefulness is there.
No overthinking, more confidence - less stress, more embodiment - less anxiety, more alignment.
It’s there and you can access this truth within you whenever you decide to.
So I’ll ask today : What are you waiting for?
Are you finally ready to dig into it, and to find that true you and let him or her free?
There are amazing years ahead of you, where you live everyday in leaves of mind and alignment.
It’s reachable.
It just depends how much you want it.
For those looking for deeper insight into all of this, I highly recommend Martha Beck’s book The Way of Integrity. *not an ad, just a genuine love for her work and this writing.
