Tonight, instead of sitting down and writing this for you - something told me to drive.
To drive into the night and breathe in all that this evening has to offer.
After I did I asked myself, when was the last time I took a night drive to nowhere?
It’s been a long, long time.
My night routine is super straight forward.
I love getting into bed early - whether I journal or watch my favourite show before bed - I am in bed by 9pm and I fall asleep before 10pm most nights.
Tonight I stared at the clock at 845pm and felt the unshakeable intuition to take my keys out and live a little.
Putting on my comfy sweater, I hopped into my car and put on a slow and heartfelt playlist. I rolled the windows down. And I drove.
When was the last time you did something you really felt the urge to do?
To live a bit more, to experience a bit deeper, to feel into the spaces that are calling you.
What did it look like? How did it feel?
Did you get the reinvigoration that it can bring?
For so long I’ve been in my schedule when I see a time, say 9pm, I do ‘X’ (go to bed).
When I see another time, say 10am, I get stressed for not having done ‘Y’ yet (worked out).
Tonight I let the time go and it was invigorating.
Instead of being in a place of complacency and habit, I chose to give myself a gift.
A gift of living in the moment and for the moment.
And in that living I found love.
