To live in integrity would mean to do everything you deeply want to do/that you believe in..
And to do nothing that you don’t.
It would mean to speak up against the ideas, actions, and tasks in your life that you don’t truly feel connected to, and to let them go or cease to do them.
It would mean to swap out your hobbies, possibly.
It would mean to leave your relationship, possibly.
It would mean to quit your job, possibly.
If these things are not what you truly desire.
It would mean you would have to re-asses your entire life to see where your heart truly is.
Picture this: you can’t lie for a week.
You can’t tell one single fib, big or small.
You have to be honest about what you’re absolutely so happy about; and what you absolutely cannot stand.
You may ruffle feathers.
You may break bonds.
You may upset the system.
Or, you may just have the best week of your life.
Time to do what your heart truly pleases, time to not spend with those who drain your energy, time to focus on soul-filling tasks, time to say No - but thank you.
You see - the lies that we create around us are usually made for those other than us.
They’re made to protect others to think we’re capable.
Or to think that we are fitting the mould of society.
When really, if we told our truth, we would be so much happier.
Because we wouldn’t be spending time doing things we don’t like, or being around people we don’t vibe with, or extending ourselves on tasks that we simply do not have time for.
We would retreat back into alignment of our souls..
And many of you would find your true purpose, your true passions.
You would find the reason that you get up in the morning with excitement and zest for life again.
Because there is no one to answer to or to impress but yourself when you live in integrity.
EXERCISE
This is a great exercise to see where you may be telling yourself the simplest lie in your life.
Recall the last time you saw an ad that made you want to purchase something.
Write down the thing that you really, really wanted.
(the new phone, new Nike sneakers, a brand new car, etc)
