When was the last time you really looked at your life and reflected?
Reflected on where you came from, how you got here..
What the moments of triumph were; the moments of stillness or hurt?
What made you stronger, wiser, and what helped you to learn the things you know now?
What were the moments of struggle and unknown outcomes and challenge?
And in those moments of struggle or challenge, how were you showing up?
Were you showing up scared, or were you showing up trusting?
Were you showing up unravelling, or foundational-ly unsound?
What we seem to forget when we’re going through something hard is that on the other side there is always greatness, and something better for us.
Especially when we are focused on personal growth in our life.
There is no possible way of going ‘backwards’ and doing less than you’ve done now.
As we reflect now, try to reflect on life’s hardest moments and take a look at what was there for you on the other side of them.
Remember that in stickiness, in unknown, in the ‘in-between’, you are simply emerging from one chapter and heading into another.
You are in the struggle in the cocoon - soon to be ready to emerge into the world again as a new version of yourself.
As you sit in reflection at any time, it’s so incredibly powerful to do so with gratitude.
Gratitude of the life you’ve been given.
Gratitude of the gifts that have been sent your way.
Gratitude for the simple experiences that made you, well -you.
Even if they were tough, heartbreaking, or life altering at the time.
